In the month of October HOPE is holding several fundraising events to benefit victims of domestic violence
September 18th Battered Women's Syndrome the unveiling of a sculpture by Edward Miracle. (Com Center across from Manatee Memorial Hospital, 5pm to 7pm).
September 24th Proclamation from the City of Bradenton at 6pm.
October 4th HOPE will be a part of Jenkins Hyundai Community Awareness Day.
October 7th Proclamation from Manatee County Commissioners at 9am.
October 9th 'Friends of HOPE'. The inaugural meeting of 'Friends of HOPE' Auxiliary; hosted by Heidi Lemker. Anyone interested in attending may call Laurel or Katie for an invitation: 747-8499.
October 10th BBQ Lunch. HOPE will have the second annual BBQ from 11am until 2 pm. It will be held in downtown Bradenton at the office of HOPE Family Services (1201 8th Ave W). Food provided by J&J BBQ.
Sunday October 12th Blue Knights Poker Run A three day event, Friday -Sunday the 10th -12th concluding with the West Coast Bike Rally's Poker Run on Sunday.
October 25th 'Stepping Out Against Domestic Violence'. The first HOPE 5k awareness walk. The walk begins at 9 am in Palmetto at Sutton Park--walkers will travel over the bridge to Bradenton, around City Hall and back to Sutton Park. This is the meant to coincide with SPARCC's Awareness Walk in Sarasota in order to combine efforts. For registration form click here.
