Administrative/Special Projects: A variety of special projects, small tasks and ongoing work is available. Projects may include filing, copying, stuffing envelopes, data entry, office support, research, sorting donations or organizing closets. This is a great way to support survivors of domestic violence and not be involved with direct service. (Monday–Friday 9am – 5pm at your convenience)
Holiday Help: Volunteers are needed in late October, November and all of December to solicit holiday donations; sort toys and clothing; pick-up and deliver donations to the Shelter; wrap and distribute presents.
“The New You” Committee: Professional chiropractors, dentists and massage therapists willing to offer their services to the residents we serve so they feel like “the new you.” (Dates/time flexible; Florida license required)
Retail Help: Retailing, pricing, organizing and sorting merchandise for resale, the HOPE Chest is located at 1215 8th Ave West. Flexible hours: Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 4pm). *Please contact Jodi at 941-745-2034*
Customer Service Specialist: At the HOPE Chest we want our donors and shoppers to feel our appreciation and enthusiasm. Duties: Greet all shoppers and donors. Offer assistance to donors and fill out donation forms after receiving the donation. HOPE Chest, Flexible hours Tuesday – Saturday 10am–4pm. *Please contact Jodi for an interview*
Pick-Up/Delivery Volunteers: Picking up/delivering items being donated to HOPE Chest and /or Shelter and/or Outreach office. (As needed/on –call basis)
Maintenance & Gardening: Volunteers are needed for light repair work, hanging photos, changing light bulbs, and maintaining our playground. (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm at your convenience)
